New Delhi: Like many other games, the second Test match between India and Australia at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi also saw a fan interrupting the game to meet players. The fan dashed onto the field during the first session of the Test and the game was halted for a period of time. However, the security personnel arrived and caught him before he could reach any of the players.
Breaching the security, the fan tried to rush towards Indian players, especially Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. He was soon caught by the security personnel and he tried to free himself. Indian pacer Mohammed Shami requested the security guards to not be harsh on the fan and his gesture won many hearts.
Shami interrupted the guards who were trying to get the fan out of the playing area and also waved back at the fan. Cricket fans are praising the seam bowler on the internet.
