BLAST announced the three locations for the BLAST.tv Paris Major RMR tournaments, which will be hosted regionally in Mexico, Mongolia, and Denmark. The Danish tournament organizer also announced that the Americas RMR in Monterrey and Asia RMR in Ulaanbaatar will be run by two partners, Liga Ace and MESA, respectively, while they themselves will run the European one in Copenhagen. All of the RMR tournaments will be played on April 3-9, while the open qualifier dates are yet to be announced.

BLAST made several other announcements at the press conference in the Eiffel Tower, the most meaningful being that the arena broadcast will be in English while the show will itself be both French and English. “We do militant surveys,” BLAST’s Creator & Chief Innovation Officer, Nicolas Estrup, said. “It has always been a clean 50/50 split, so we’ve tried both, but this time with how iconic this event is and how many people historically travel [for Majors] we want to open it up for that.”

Other news regarding the Major include the possibility of a crowd for the Challengers and Legends Stage, which is not out of the picture, although the onus in the first two stages of the Major will be on the broadcast more than the crowd. “We’re trying to explore Challengers and Legends in front of a crowd,” Estrup said. “The big spectacle should be the in arena, but with that in mind we’re trying to find a balance of maybe opening up to the public.”

BLAST also announced when their tickets will be on sale, which is January 23 for people opting into BLAST.tv’s exclusive early access by signing up to the website and January 26 for the general public.
